This presentation provides information on types of financial aid, other factors to consider when deciding on a college, and next steps. Students who participated in this workshop also reviewed their own financial aid award letters, as well as samples, using our Financial Aid Comparison Worksheet.
College Transition
This presentation provides information on the college transition, differences between high school and college, and what to expect during the first few months of college. Students who participated in this workshop identified where they would turn for support based on various scenarios and explored available resources on their own college campuses.
Building Your Resume
This presentation provides information and examples of what information to include on your resumes for college, scholarship and job applications. Students who participated in this workshop also reviewed sample essays and worked with employees of the Exelon Corporation on creating their own resumes.
Interview Skills
This presentation provides information on the purpose of a college interview, tips for answering behavior-based questions (the STAR method), and strategies for answering typical college interview questions. Students who participated in this workshop also went through mock interviews.
